The price includes a three (3) day backcountry permit, needed for backpack camping.

There are several great campsites in the area to include Koomer Ridge, that has showers, flush toilets, and is a great maintained campsite.

This is bear country, so those backpacking need bear vaults, and those camping need to practice good bear country habits when it comes to storing smellables.

For those that are doing day hikes, there are many parking lots with access to trails to scenic waterfalls, arches, and views.

While the trails are rarely "flat", the elevation changes are mild and the distance of uphill or downhill is only for a few hundred yards at a time (not like the Rockies where you are walking uphill for miles).

Overall, this is a great place to learn and practice skills, while enjoying a very scenic area that is different than the Rockies, Tetons, or Cascades.
